Hostel Rules & Regulations

The Hostel serves as a home away from home. To uphold the respect and values of the institution, the students need to maintain discipline in the hostel. To ensure a safe and conducive environment for the students in the hostel, the college has set rules & regulations duly revised periodically. The students need to abide by these hostel rules & regulations.

I. General

All the students are expected to:

• Keep the rooms clean and tidy.
• Not write or draw on the cupboard, table, or chairs provided to them.
• Follow hostel timings. Entry after the prescribed time is not allowed without prior permission.
• Maintain discipline and respect for all hostel staff and fellow residents.
• Mandatorily devote 2 hours daily for studies.
• Attend roll call at sharp 09:00 PM. Any absence from the roll call must be reported to the Warden.
• Put off the lights of rooms by 11:00 PM. Students who wish to study after 11:00 PM can use the mess hall on the ground floor. The study room can also be utilized till 09:00 PM.
• Mobile use is permitted till 08:30 PM only if the undertaking is filled by the parents/guardians and signed.
• Use their own bedroom and must sleep only on their allotted bed.
• Record any maintenance-related problem in the register kept in the Warden's office.
• Avoid the use of iPods during study and examination time. If found causing nuisance to others, they will be confiscated.
• Maintain discipline at all times. If a complaint is received more than three times, a written memo will be issued which may also lead to expulsion from the hostel.

II. Outings

• Saturday outing time permitted is 3 hours only.
• Sunday outing time permitted is 5 hours only (between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM).
• Entry must be made in the hostel register before leaving and upon returning.
• Outings are permitted only within Navi Mumbai.

III. Overnight Pass

• Only one overnight pass per month is permitted on written request signed by the guardian and countersigned by the Principal after obtaining permission from the Class Coordinator and Warden.
• Guardian's letter must be submitted by Wednesday before 12:30 PM.
• Students wishing to commute from home for a specific period must submit a written request from the parent/guardian to the Principal.
• Overnight pass requests must be submitted well in advance.

IV. Day Out

• Two day-outs per month (from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) are permitted.
• Students visiting places other than their guardian's residence or outside Navi Mumbai must submit a guardian's letter and obtain prior permission from the Principal.

V. Local Guardians

• Local guardians should be nominated by the parents at the time of admission.
• Guardian's photograph should be submitted to the Warden and the guardian must sign the Guardian's Register.
• Any change in the local guardian must be informed to the college by the parents in writing.

VI. Visiting Time

• Visitors are not allowed inside hostel rooms.
• Only guardians are permitted to visit students. The Hostel Warden must be informed in advance.
• Guardians may meet students only in the Visitors' Lounge.
• Visiting Timings:
  • Wednesday – 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Saturday – 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
• If any other relative wishes to meet the student, the guardian must accompany the visitor.

VII. Sick Leave

• If sick, students must report to the Hostel Warden and visit the OPD.
• Students are not allowed to stay in the hostel during college hours without permission from the Warden.

VIII. Food

• Outside food is strictly prohibited. Strict disciplinary action will be taken if found consuming outside food in hostel rooms.
• Food should be consumed only in the mess hall and within the allotted meal timings.
• Any complaint regarding food should be reported immediately to the Warden.
• Mess fees should be paid to the Mess Incharge on or before the 10th day of the month on a quarterly basis.
• Dress code must be followed during meals and hair should be properly tied.
